No suggestions, but edible gold leaf might look pretty. Or it might be overkill. :-) Of you want to add the glitter to the praline, I would sprinkle it on as soon as you spread it out on the pan.

I'm so excited to make this cake for my best friends birthday. She's an amazing woman and she loves flashy things. I'd love to add gold edible glitter or luster dust to the praline but I've never worked with it before. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dianna- That's very interesting. The package is clearly labeled "Fleur de Sel Guerande" so I'm not sure what to make of all that, but thanks for sharing.

Hi! Having been to Guerande, I can tell you that what you are using...what is depicted in your photo.... is NOT Fleur de Sel. It's gray sea salt; Fleur de sSel is so fine that it does not have to be broken up with a grinder or a mortar and pestle. It is also very white..... If it said fleur de sel on the package, It would have to have been either an out and out fraud, or simply an inferior product and mechanically harvested. True Fleur de Sel costs 8-10 times what French sea salt costs. Hope this helps!

I love mine, too!! Now I'm just having to keep myself from buying more. I didn't know they had the round ones. I do do a lot of baking so I'll have to keep an eye out for those. :)
