Inevitably, the next question is “Really? Where do you work?” and then I have say, “Well, I’m a former chef who still works in the restaurant business…”
It’s complicated and drives me crazy, especially because the next question is always, “Do you miss it?” The answer is “yes and no”. Obviously, I don’t miss the day to day of it all that much, or I’d still be doing it. But I still love cooking and sharing that passion with others, and thus, Former Chef was born.
My main goal is to show people step by step how easy cooking can be. In addition, I have a small garden, so I write a bit about being an urban gardener and helping friends with their chickens. Finally, I’m completely obsessed with travel to far flung corners of the globe. You can see my travelogues (much of them related to food, of course) at www.wired2theworld.com

All photos on the site are taken by me, unless otherwise stated. I use a Nikon D5000 DSLR camera and I’m in a perpetual process of working on my photography.
The writing is all done by me as are the recipes. If the recipes are inspired by a book, restaurant or blog, I do my best to give credit where it’s due. I hope you will do the same.
